Delivery spools made from thermoplastic material. 3 Material The spools shall be made from thermoplastic material (for example modified poly
32、styrene) that satisfies the requirements given in this standard. The material used shall not have a deleterious effect on the conductor or the covering of the winding wire. 4 Type designation Taper barrelled delivery spools according to this standard shall be identified by dimensions d 1and l 1as sp
33、ecified in IEC 60264-3-1, for example as follows: Delivery spool !IEC 60264-3-3/IEC 250/400 “. 5 Requirements For test methods see IEC 60264-4-1. 5.1 Spool irregularities 5.1.1 Surface The surface of the spool shall be smooth and the flanges free from protruding material liable to damage the wire or
34、 injure the hands of the winding operator. 5.1.2 Construction Bolts and screws, if used in the construction of the spools, shall be countersunk so that the heads are below the surface. 5.2 Spool marking Each spool shall have embossed and/or engraved markings, located on the top side of the upper fla
35、nge, containing the following information: a) the type designation of the spool (for example !IEC 60264-3-3/IEC 250/400 “; b) name and/or trade mark of the spool manufacturer; c) year of manufacture; d) the nominal mass of the spool in grams; e) the words: “non-returnable”. The top flange shall be o
36、f such design as to allow the application of labels giving details of the manufacturer of the winding wire, its size, the !mass “ of winding wire on the spool, etc.EN 60264-3-3:1994 4 BSI 5 May 2004 5.3 Moss The mass of the spool shall comply with the value given in Table 1. There are no requirement
37、s for other spools. Table 1 5.4 Spool dimensions The spool dimensions and tolerances shall comply with the dimensions and tolerances given in IEC 60264-3-1. 5.5 True running deviations The true running deviations shall not exceed the value given in Table 1 of IEC 60264-3-1 (under y and z). 5.6 Behav
38、iour at high temperature The spool shall be conditioned !at a temperature of (60 3) C “. The spool dimensions and tolerances shall comply with the dimensions and tolerances given in IEC 60264-3-1. No swelling, buckling or variation in the flanges or in the barrel is permitted. 5.7 Impact test on fla
39、nges 5.7.1 Under normal ambient conditions The function of the spool shall not be destroyed after stressing with the value given in Table 2. There are no requirements for other spools. Table 2 5.7.2 At low temperature The spool shall be conditioned at a temperature from p10 C to p12 C. The function
40、of the spool shall not be destroyed after stressing with 70 % of the value given in Table 2. After conditioning at a temperature of p25 3 C the spool shall not be destroyed after stressing with 50 % of the value given in Table 2. 5.8 Deformation under load When stressed with the load specified in Ta
41、ble 3, the elongation shall not exceed the value given in Table 3. There are no requirements for other spools.
