23、mated pair of connectors with its terminations, wired as specified in the detail specification. All wires and cables shall be either sealed or extended outside the test chamber. 3.2 Equipment A vessel containing a 5 % 1 %, by weight, solution of non-iodized (commercial) salt, in distilled or deionis

26、arried out at room temperature; the temperature of the specimen and the solution shall not differ by more than 5 C. The specimen shall be submerged in the solution, in such a way that the uppermost point of the specimen is at least 25 mm below the surface of the solution The chamber pressure shall b

The chamber pressure shall then be returned to room ambient within a period of 1 min and maintained at that pressure for a minimum of 30 min. This constitutes one
28、cycle. Two additional, identical, cycles shall be carried out. During all three cycles, for the period of intervention and subsequent testing, the specimen shall remain submerged as described above. 4.2 Measurements 4.2.1 Initial measurements Visual examination according to IEC 60512-1-1 shall be ca

There shall be no defects, which would impair the validity of the test. 4.2.2 Test measurements and requirements These tests shall be carried out before the specimen is removed from the salt solution. After testing given in 4.1, insulation resistance in accordance with IEC 60512-3-1 shall
30、 be measured. It shall not be less than that given in the detail specification. After the above test, a voltage proof test in accordance with IEC 60512-4-1 shall be carried out. It shall not be less than that given in the detail specification. 4.2.3 Final measurements Visual examination according to
31、 IEC 60512-1-1 shall be carried out with 10 magnification. Any defects, which would impair the normal functioning of the connector, shall be documented. Special attention shall be given to a) evidence of ingress of the solution; b) evidence of dielectric breakdown. 5 EN 60512-14-5:2006 5 Details to
