24、LOGICAL INSTALLATIONS where an optical transmission of visual images, TYPE SC, or other kind of viewing, type VI, through PROTECTIVE SHIELDING is to be realized. It does not cover other transparent RADIATION PROTECTION materials, e.g. plastic transparent protection plates (lead acrylate plastics); l
25、eaded glasses or goggles for protection of the OPERATORS eyes (eye spectacles); leaded face shields, which cover the entire face of the OPERATOR; PATIENT eye protection; and thyroid/neck PROTECTIVE DEVICES. 1.2 Object This part 2 deals with the requirements on: geometrical accuracy; optical quality
26、of the material; spectral transmittance; radiation ATTENUATION properties; marking; statement of compliance with this standard of PROTECTIVE GLASS PLATES. 34、 with specified ATTENUATION properties used to provide optically clear and transparent PROTECTIVE SHIELDING. 4 Dimensions 4.1 Thickness of PROTECTIVE GLASS PLATES PROTECTIVE GLASS PLATES shall have a nominal thickness according to one of the values and their tolerances permitted, as given in Table 1

38、MS (ISO 4090 2) ) and RADIOGRAPHIC CASSETTES (IEC 60406 3) ). 4.3 Designation of nominal sizes The nominal size shall be designated by the dimensionless value of nominal thickness in cm and the dimensionless value of width and length in centimetres, e.g.: 0,85 30 40 5 Geometrical accuracy of PROTECT
39、IVE GLASS PLATES 5.1 Squareness The perimeter of a PROTECTIVE GLASS PLATE TYPE SC shall be between the perimeters of two perfect rectangles one made to the minimum dimensional tolerance permitted and one to the maximum tolerance. 5.2 Flatness All points on the two surfaces of PROTECTIVE GLASS PLATES
40、 TYPE SC and PROTECTIVE GLASS PLATES TYPE VI shall be contained between two parallel planes separated by the specified nominal thickness. For each of the two surfaces of PROTECTIVE GLASS PLATES TYPE SC and PROTECTIVE GLASS PLATES TYPE VI all points, along any length of 100 mm, shall be contained bet
41、ween two parallel planes 0,2 mm apart. 5.3 Parallelism The surfaces of PROTECTIVE GLASS PLATES shall be parallel to each other so that the optical deviation of light incident perpendicularly to a surface will not exceed: 0,003 radians for PROTECTIVE GLASS PLATES TYPE SC; and 0,006 radians for PROTEC
42、TIVE GLASS PLATES TYPE VI. 5.4 Narrow sides Each surface at the four narrow sides of PROTECTIVE GLASS PLATES TYPE SC shall be within half the tolerance for the corresponding plane dimension (see 4.2 and Table 2) and perpendicular to the plane surfaces of the plate to within 5 . 5.5 Edges The edges o
43、f PROTECTIVE GLASS PLATES TYPE SC shall be chamfered so that the chamfer is not smaller than 1 mm 45 when it is related to half the maximum permissible plane dimension and is not greater than 1 mm 45 when it is related to half the minimum permissible. 46、gth whichever is the larger area. Zone C: Margin of 15 mm inside the perimeter. Zone B: Remaining zone between zone A and zone C. 6.2 Bubbles The inhomogeneity of PROTECTIVE GLASS PLATES TYPE SC shall not exceed the following limits: In zone A: there shall be no bubble of a diameter exceeding 0,5 mm
47、; the product of the number of bubbles and the diameter of the greatest bubble shall not exceed 1,2 mm. In zone B: there shall be no bubble of a diameter exceeding 0,7 mm; the product of the number of bubbles and the diameter of the greatest bubble shall not be greater than 2,4 multiplied by the rat
48、io of the area of zone B to that of zone A. In zone C: there shall be no bubble of a diameter exceeding 1 mm; the product of the number of bubbles and the diameter of the greatest bubble shall not exceed 4 mm. 6.3 Streaks and other inhomogeneities In zones A and B of PROTECTIVE GLASS PLATES TYPE SC
49、there shall be no streaks or other inhomogeneities which can be seen when a test screen consisting of a black and white striped pattern is viewed at a distance of approximately 3 m through the PROTECTIVE GLASS PLATE which is 250 mm in front of the observer. The width of each of the black and white stripes on the test screen shall be 10 mm. The pattern shall be illuminated to appr
