IEC61008-1 and 61009-1 provide appropri ate requ
40、irements and tests forgeneral use in household and si milar uses. However, the use of new electronic technologyin equipment may resultin particular residual currentsnot covered in IEC 61008-1 orIEC61009-1. This standard covers specificapplications where additional requirements andtesting are needed.
41、This standard includes definitions, additional requirements and tests for Type F and Type BRCCBs and/or RCBOs to cover particular situations. The tests shall first be applied according to IEC 61008-1 forType F or Type B RCCBs andaccording to IEC 61009-1 for Type F or Type BRCBOs. After completion of
42、 the te sts given either in IEC 61008-1or IEC 61009-1 the additional testsgiven in this standard shall be applied in order to show conformityto this standard (seeAnnex A, Annex B forTypeFor Annex C, Annex Dfor Type Brespectively).The number of samples to be submittedand test sequences to beapplied f

44、uces Type F RCDs (F for Frequency) intended for protection of circuits with frequency inverters supplied between phase and neutral or phaseand earthed middle conductortaking into accountthe necessary features forthese particular situations in addition to the cases covered by type A RCDs. Type F RCDs
45、cannot be used where electronic equipment with double bridge rectifiers supplied from two phases is found or if a smooth d.c. residual current can occur. In case ofa frequency inverter, e.g. used for motorspeed control, supplied between phase andneutral,a composite residual current including the pow
46、er frequency, the motor frequencyand the chopper clock frequencyof the frequency inverter mayoccur in addition to alternatingor pulsating d.c. residual currents. This standard introduces Type B RCDs to be used in case ofresidual pulsating rectified direct currentwhich results from one or more phases
47、, and smooth d.c. residual currentinadditiontothe cases covered by Type FRCDs.
