It supersedes BS 6431 : Part 21 : 1984, which wiil be withdrawn when Parts 1 to 16 of BS EN IS0 10545 have all been published. This Part of BS EN IS0 10545

10、 was originally rafted by CENITC 67, Ceramic tiles, as EN 155, published in 1984, and confinned in 1991. Subsequently the European Standard was revised by IS0 as a Part of IS0 10545, which has now been approved by CEN as a Part of EN IS0 10545. The technical changes from the method described in BS 6

11、431 : Part 21 are as follows. The method now applies both to glazed and unglazed tiles regardless of their water absorption. The number of test specimens is reduced from seven to five. For the pretreatment by refiring, the tiles are heated to 550 “C at 150 “C/h and held at that temperature for 2 h.

12、An informative annex recommends a maximum limit of 0,06 % moisture expansion for tiles fiied directly to new concrete. Compliance with a British Standard does not of itself confer immunity from legal obligations. Summary of pages This document comprises a front cover, an inside front cover, pages i
