2、INTRODUCTION 1.1 All CAD models shall be created at full size, (i.e., one drawing unit of the CAD system used will equal one unit of base measuring system). NOTE: In order to fit full size CAD models on the drawing formats, it may be necessary to create scaled-down viewing areas in the drafting mode
3、 of the CAD System. Examples of this technique are “View Ports” in AutoCAD or “View at a Scale” in IDEAS. The term scale is in reference to these viewing areas, and will be denoted in the “SCALE” region of the title block. 1.2 Drawings created manually must be accurately drawn to scale and, as a gen
4、eral rule, drawn full size. 2 DEFINITIONS (Reserved) 2.1 CAD Design/Vehicle Verification 2.1.1 The nominal and variational study, review, recording and confirmation of vehicle compatibility attributes using CAD tools and GDT, See Standard D1. 3 REQUIREMENTS 3.1 PREFERRED SCALE 3.1.1 The preferred sc
5、ale is full size. If another scale is necessary, use a scale specified as a ratio as shown in Figure C1.1. Where required, a scale based on the ratio of 1:X for downscaling and X:1 for upscaling may be used. 3.2 SCALE NOTATION 3.2.1 The general scale of a drawing is recorded in the appropriate space
6、 in the title block. Any views, sections, etc. drawn to a scale other than the general scale must have the scale shown directly under them. See Figure C1.2. 3.2.2 Drawings such as wiring diagrams, sketches, etc. not drawn to a scale shall have a single line drawn through the scale space in the title

If, for clarity, it is deemed necessary it should be placed in the l
9、ower left-hand corner of the drawing as shown in Figure C1.3. Figure C1.3 3.4 DO NOT SCALE 3.4.1 The notation DO NOT SCALE may be added to the drawing if it is considered necessary.
