14、h may impede withdrawal and cause delay in an emergency, a switch isolator shall be installed immediately adjacent to the socket to enable it to be isolated from the SuPPlY- 3.2.3 Sockets and switches designed to serve flameproof handlamps etc., shall be installed OUTSIDp the danger area, unless the

15、 outlet and the switch are of flameproof construction. 3.2.4 For socket outlets operating at a voltage in excess of, but not including 250 volts AC., the outlet shall be a combined switch-socket designed to mechanically interlock the plug with the switch. 3.2.5 Sockets serving high-cycle tools may h

16、ave one isolating switch to service a maximum of four sockets at a maximum distance of 6 metres between the furthest socket and the switch. Care should be taken when siting means of isolation that no moving equipment obscures the access to it. eg. conveyors etc., if this is unavoidable, additional i

17、solation points shall be provided. 3.2.6 It is recommended that all socket outlets connected to systems with a higher voltage than + 55 volts to earth are provided with a Residual Current Device of high sensi:ivity not exceeding 30mA.
