2、n utilizes radio frequencies above 9 kHz| (9,000 cycles per second) complies with all requirements of the| Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Rules and Regulations, Title| 47, Part 18, as applied to Industrial, Scientific, and Medical (ISM)| equipment within the Company. Its purpose is to preve
3、nt harmful| interference to radio communications. Furthermore, such ISM| equipment shall be subject to verification, in accordance with the| relevant sections of Part 2, Subpart J, of Title 47. (Equipment| Authorization Procedures)1.1.1 | Category of ISM Equipment:| a) Industrial heating equipment|

PROCUREMENT:2.1 | Industrial equipment (ISM) using radio frequencies above 9 kHz shall| comply to thi
9、s standard. To facilitate compliance, paragraphs 2.2| and 2.3 (below) shall be included as part of the Purchasing| Information Request (PIR) and the Purchase Order. In addition, it| shall be specified that the equipment shall conform to this| standard.2.2 Equipment shall comply with all Federal Comm
10、unications Commissionrequirements as outlined in Part 18 of the FCC Rules for Industrial,Scientific, and Medical Equipment.2.3 | The equipment manufacturer shall furnish proof of compliance (i.e.| verification and date of verification) with Part 18 of the FCC Rules| and Regulations. Such proof shall
11、 be submitted to the| requisitioning activity. In addition, the manufacturer shall affix| a permanent non-corrodible nameplate to the exterior of the control| enclosure door. This nameplate shall include a statement that “the| equipment has been tested to the verification requirements of the| FCC Ru
12、les and Regulations Part 18.“3. INSTALLATION:3.1 Installation shall be made in strict accordance with the equipmentmanufacturers installation and operating instructions.3.1.1 | The installation shall also comply with the National Electrical| Code (NEC), Article 665 - Induction and Dielectric Heating
13、| Equipment, and International Electrotechnical Commision (IEC)| 204 part 1, clause 4.4.1.3.2 GROUNDING: In order to minimize undesirable radiation from theequipment, it is imperative that the equipment be adequatelygrounded. Grounding through supply conduits and other piping to thebuilding frame is
14、 not adequate. 15、s & Printed copies are uncontrolled.Systems Engineering (ESSE) Page 3 of 33.3 BONDING: Where the equipment consists of several units such as theoscillator or generator, controls, work table, automation andaccessory items, these shall be bonded together with copperconductors according to instructions
16、 by the manufacturer andrequirements specified in NEC Article 250, Part G. Conduits,piping, and other metal to metal joints are not considered adequatebonding for apparatus operating on radio frequencies.3.4 DOORS, COVERS, AND SHIELDS: Enclosure or compartment doors, covers,and shields shall be clos
17、ed and in place whenever the equipment isin operation. Periodic maintenance inspections shall be made toassure that all joints are secure and that shielding has notdeteriorated. Corroded, frayed, or worn bonding conductors, mesh,or screens shall be promptly replaced.3.5 | INFORMATION TO THE USER: The following information shall be| provided to the user per FCC section 18.213:| a) The interference potential of the system or device| b) Maintenance of the system| c) Simple measures that can be taken by the user to correct| interferences.| NOTE: Denotes area of change in previous issue.|
