SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a 15% (1/32 in (0.8 mm) long milled) glass fiber filled polytetrafluoroethylene (TFE) compounded specifically to improve creep and wear resistance. 2. APPLICATION
3、 This specification was released originally for material used for the power steering gear worm, control valve sleeve and piston seal. 3. REQUIREMENTS Testing frequencies for each requirement shall be established by agreement between supplier quality assurance, supplier and affected design and materi
4、als engineering group. 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1 PART 3.1.1 Specific Gravity 2.14 - 2.24 (ASTM D 792) 3.1.3 Tensile Strength, min 2,000 psi
5、 (13.8 MPa) (Uncut free seals, perform test per ASTM D 412, ring specimen) Elongation, ultimate, min 150% 3.2 MATERIAL 3.2.1 Material Certification Part fabricators must retain material certification on lots of premixed material or on basic material if mixing operation is performed in-house as requi
