APPLICATION This specification was released originally to provide corrosion protection for brake rotors and hubs duri
3、ng storage and shipment. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1 DESCRIPTION OF CONCENTRATE This material contains emulsifiers, rust inhi
4、bitors, defoamants, and solvents. It contains no amines, phenols, cresols, or other toxic substances requiring special handling in use. It shall exhibit no skimming, gelatin or separation of the concentrate. 3.2 FLASH POINT, min 107 C (ASTM D 92) 3.3 FIRE POINT, min 112 C (ASTM D 92) 3.4 SPECIFIC GR
5、AVITY 0.93 (ASTM D 891) 3.5 VISCOSITY AT 38 C 35 - 50 cSt (ASTM D 445) 3.6 MIXTURE WITH WATER The solution shall contain not less than 1 part of concentrate per 20 parts of solution (v/v). No less than 5% concentrate shall be used. Higher concentrations may be used to provide greater corrosion prote
6、ction as required for storage and shipment. 3.7 CORROSION PROTECTION OF 5% SOLUTION (ASTM D 2247) The coated rotors shall be exposed to a 100% humidity test at 35 C for 2 h and shall not exhibit more than 1% rust on the braking surface of the rotor or bearing and seal contact area of the hub.
