APPLICATION This specification was released originally for materials used for door window channel assemblies
3、 consisting of ESB-M24G5 safety glass bonded to AZ 435 zinc alloy and ESB-M1A70 rustless steel, with a two component polysulfide, or a synthetic resin base adhesive. 3. 5、R.H. Test Method: After the conditioning periods specified above, pull the channel assemblies from the glass in a tensile-shear attitude using a testing machine operated at 0.25 in (6.4 mm)/min. When the production part does not lend itself to testing, suitable test specimens shall be prepared as fo
6、llows using approved production materials: ENGINEERING MATERIAL SPECIFICATION ESB-M11P11-A Page 2 of 5 A 4 in (100 mm) section of the released production channel, or the test channels shown in figures 1 and 2 shall be used. The channel shall be centered and bonded to the edge of a 5.5 x 5.5 in (140
7、x 140 mm) piece of ESB-M24G5 safety glass as shown in figure 3, using the approved adhesive and production process. Condition the test specimens for 48 h at 23 +/- 2 C and proceed with the tests as specified. 3.2 APPEARANCE The adhesive shall not shrink, crack, exude plasticizer, or lose adhesion to
8、 the metal or glass when exposed to the test conditions specified in para 3.1. 3.3 HARDNESS OF ADHESIVE, Durometer “A“ 70 - 80 (ASTM D 2240, instantaneous reading, using a 0.25 in (6.4 mm) slab conditioned for 48 h at 23 +/- 2 C) 3.4 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITY Material supplied to this specification m
9、ust be equivalent to that originally approved. Changes in formulation or processing shall not be made without prior approval as described in Supplier Procedure I-A. 4. APPROVAL OF SUPPLIERS Suppliers to this specification must be approved by the affected product engineering office. Procedure for gai
