12、gdocument for the application.4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALSMat erials defined by this specification must have prior approval by theresp onsible Materials Engineering activity. Suppliers desiring approvalof thei r materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffec ted Purchasing, Design
13、and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivity its own laboratory rep ort to the specification (test results, notnominal values), the material designation and code number, and testspecim ens for Ford evaluation. Upon approval, the material will be addedto the Engineering Material Approved Source List.
