REQUIREMENTS3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requi
4、rements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 COLOR Black 3.3 HIDING POWER The primer when applied in a 0.003 - 0.005 in (76 - 127 micrometre) film thickness shall completely black-out the color of the painted metal surface. 3.4 BRUSHABILITY The primer when hand brushed on painted surfaces
5、shall level with no evidence of brush marks, voids or bare spots to the extent that the painted metal undersurface is visible. The material under test shall be equal to or better than the current approved production material for smoothness when applied under identical conditions. When acrylic lacque

9、r shall be +/- 0.2 lb/gal (0.024 kg/L) based on the recorded weight of the original approved production sample. (See para 4.3) 3.9 DRYING RATE, max 5 min Test Method: Apply a 0.003 - 0.005 in (76 - 127 micrometre) film of primer to a steel panel coated with white or light blue ESB-M32J100 quality en
10、amel. Determine the drying rate of primer by applying light finger pressure at 23 +/- 2 C. Prior to testing, clean oils from fingers by using denatured ethyl alcohol ESF-M8B12-A. The primer surface may be tacky, however, there shall be no transfer to the finger. Where acrylic lacquer is employed as
11、the color coat, the same procedure is required. Save panel for next test. 3.10 MIGRATION STAIN No Migration Stain Test Method: Expose the painted panel prepared in para 3.9 for a total of 96 h in the fluorescent sunlamp cabinet described in FLTM BO 115-01. 3.11 YIELD STRENGTH, 100 % Cohesive Failure

16、eds the 72 h limit, apply a second coat of primer over the original coat. 3.14 STORAGE STABILITY This adhesion primer must be stored away from all sources of heat such as ovens, direct sunlight, etc. This fluid primer when stored in excess of 3 months must be recirculated or agitated prior to initia
17、l use. The storage period for this adhesion primer shall not exceed 9 months at 49 C maximum. If this adhesion primer is stored at temperatures below 19 C, it must be conditioned at 23 +/- 2 C for 48 h prior to usage. 3.15 QUALITY The material shall be a smooth, homogeneous mixture, free from foreig
18、n materials and properties detrimental to normal production operations. 19、rimer ESB-M2G171) from the same production source shall be used in conjunction with one another. (Vendor “A“ tape with Vendor “A“ glass and paint primers only). 4. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specifi
20、cation. 4.1 FLASH POINT, min -4 C (ASTM D 56) 4.2 FLAMMABILITY AND/OR TOXICITY This material represents a potential fire and/or health hazard. The Manufacturing Engineering Department shall notify both the Plant Security and the Safety Units of its presence in the Plant to assure that proper fire an
