2、APE, CLOTH - POLYESTER ADHESIVE COATED - HEAT ACTIVATED ESB-M3G120-A NOT TO BE USED FOR NEW DESIGN 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a cloth tape coated on one surface with a non-tacky polyester adhesive. The adhesive bonds the tape to various substrates by heat activation. 2. A
3、PPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used to form an insulator “patch“ to bond polyvinyl insulated electrical wiring at weld joint areas to a polyester backing support. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part produc
4、ers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 COLOR Blue, green or as specified on the engineering drawing. 3.3 BREAKING STRENGTH, min 90 lb/in (16 N/mm) width (ASTM D 1000) Elongation, min 25% 3.4 SOFTENING POINT 120 - 130 C Test Method: Place
5、 a small sample of tape with the adhesive side up, between two glass slides, on a melting point apparatus heating block (Fisher-Johns or equivalent). Softening point is determined by an adhesive appearance change from partially opaque to transparent. 5. GENERAL INFORMATION The material data included
