2、-M3G133-A 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is an acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive film protected with a release liner on both sides. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used to bond landau roof construction supported vinyl and pad materials to

3、 each other and to painted metal surfaces. The adhesive film is pre-applied to the vinyl or padding material. The composite material is then die cut into parts and shipped to the assembly plant for use. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part pr

4、oducers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.3 PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS In addition to the requirements listed herein, parts utilizing this material shall meet all the requirements of applicable composite specifications and performance speci

5、fications 3.4 THICKNESS, WITHOUT RELEASE LINERS 127 m +/- 13 m (ASTM D 1000) 3.5 WEIGHT, WITHOUT RELEASE LINERS, min 112 g/m2(BN 106-01) 3.6 RELEASE LINER REMOVAL, max (ASTM D 413, Machine Method, mm/min crosshead speed) The pull necessary to separate the release liner from the adhesive on a 51 mm w

11、 x 254 mm, laminate components with this adhesive per table above, and roll the bonded specimens with a 2.0 kg roller (ASTM D-1000) using two forward and back strokes along the length within 5 s after contact. Separate 5 mm of bond by hand for attaching to clamps of the testing machine. Cross head s

13、9 REPOSITIONABILITY Parts shall be able to be repositioned without adhesive transfer to the adherent when removed within 5 minutes after application. In addition, if the composite material accidentally folded over upon itself, the adhesive shall not delaminate from either surface of the composite wh

14、en it is peeled apart. 3.10 MILDEW (FLTM BN 012-03) No less than 1 mm zone of inhibition and no evidence of pink staining. In addition, when used for all light colored vinyl coated landau top material, the adhesive shall meet the following requirement: After exposure for 1 year direct weathering, va

15、riable angle facing south in Florida, the production material shall exhibit no evidence of pink staining or any fungal growth on the adhesive or related vinyl surface. 3.11 OUTDOOR EXPOSURE (AATCC Evaluation Procedure 1) After exposure in South Florida (Miami area) direct weathering, variable angle

16、facing south, the surface of the assembly shall not stain, exhibit color tone change or change hue in excess of the AATCC rating for the specified exposure time. 1 year 4-5 to 5 rating 2 years 4 to 5 rating Prepare test panels per ESB-M15P5-A “Preparation of Bonded Landau Top Test Assemblies“ except

17、 for references to spraying of the adhesive, since this is an adhesive film pre-applied to the material. After exposure, a portion of the vinyl surface should be cleaned to determine the permanency of accumulated stains, soil and other contaminants. Gently scrub approximately 1/3 of the vinyl surfac

18、e with a soft bristle brush and a solution of mild liquid detergent (e.g. Lux). 3.12 FLUORESCENT SUNLAMP 3-4 rating (FLTM BO 115-01 fluorescent sunlamp cabinet only, AATCC Evaluation Procedure 1) The vinyl coating shall not stain, exhibit color tone change or change in hue in excess of the specified

19、 AATCC rating after 500 h fluorescent sunlamp exposure. Prepare 75 x 150 mm test panels per ESB-M15P5-A “Preparation of Bonded Landau Top Assemblies“ except for references to spraying of the adhesive, since this is an adhesive film pre-applied to the material. 3.13 COMPATIBILITY Component materials

20、of the vinyl top assembly (e.g., top material with adhesive padding, rubber, plastic, etc.), when evaluated, both individually with the vinyl top material and as an assembly, shall be compatible, and not adversely affect overall durability when exposed to the following conditions: Fluorescent sunlam

22、ging (per ESB-M15P5-A with 7 days at 102 C exceptions in reference to spraying) Examine the tested assembly under normal indoor lighting and long wave ultraviolet light (blacklight). Any evidence of surface stain, fade, brittleness of other degradation is cause for rejection of the assembly. 3.13.1

23、Panel Preparation For Individual Component Evaluation Center a 50 x 75 mm minimum sample of each component material of the vinyl top assembly by itself on a 75 x 150 mm primed metal panel. Center a 75 x 150 mm sample of vinyl top material, with this adhesive pre-applied, over the component material on the primed metal panel and attach. 3.14 STORAGE STABILITY Shall have a shelf life of 6 months when stored at temperatures not exceeding 35 C.
