SCOPE The material defined by these specifications is an extruded grade of wood fiber filled polypropylene for vacuum or match metal die molding. 2. APPLICATION ESB-M99D43-A was released originally f
3、or material used as a molded package tray foundation in the 1983 Escort/Lynx carlines. ESB-M99D43-B was released originally for material used as a molded trunkliner foundation in the 1986 Taurus/Sable. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part pro
4、ducers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 THICKNESS As specified on engineering drawings 3.3 COMPOSITION The composition is primarily wood fiber and polypropylene with a talc filler and a small amount of polyethylene as a carrier for the

11、f components and composites shall not burn, or transmit a flame across its surface, at a rate of more than 101 mm per minute. To demonstrate compliance, the sample size and method of testing shall be in accordance with FLTM BN 024-02. 3.19 ESB-M99D43-B FLAMMABILITY, max 101 mm/min (FLTM BN 024-02, w

14、be laminated to one or both sides of the extruded product to facilitate bonding. 5.3 Small holes occurring in formed parts made of this material may be repaired by filling in with molten, unbacked polypropylene fiber (ESB-M3H36-A, ESB-M3H48-B, or equivalent). The appearance of the trimmed side of the part shall not be affected. In addition, the repair shall not adversely affect the material properties of this specification.
