Specimens from finished gaskets may differ in width and length and should not include bolt holes. The
10、se specimens are preconditioned in a controlled humidity room (or in a closed chamber with gentle mechanical circulation of the air) for 70 h minimum at 21 to 29 C and 50 +/- 5% R.H. Specimens are then measured for original length. Expose vertically hung test specimens in a controlled temperature an
11、d humidity chamber for 7 days at 38 C and 95-100% R.H., followed by 7 days at 38 C and 5- 10% R.H. Length of test specimens is measured after each of these two 7 day exposure periods. Average % change in length after each exposure is calculated, based on the original lengths previously determined. P

14、aboratory. All samples shall produce IR spectra and thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when tested under the same conditions. 3.8 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITY All materials supplied to this specification must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was
15、 originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved under this specification, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the Supplier shall notify the affected Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities (wit
16、h reasons) of the proposed changes. Upon notification of the Company, further instructions will be provided. Note: Suppliers should be prepared to provide test data and samples demonstrating compliance to this specification, if requested. Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company dire
17、ction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1. 4. APPROVAL OF SUPPLIERS: Materials defined by this specification for direct supply to the Company must have prior approval. Certain materials subco
18、ntracted by part suppliers may also require prior approval. These include materials critical to the Companys business for regulatory, safety, environmental or compatibility requirements or contractual agreements. Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of inte
19、rest from Purchasing, Design or Materials Engineering activity. Upon request, the Supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of this specification.
