、SF-M11P5-B NOT TO BE USED FOR NEW DESIGN 1. SCOPE This specification defines the performance of a pressure sensitive adhesive as applied to interior appliques. It covers both, initial sample and lot sample requirements. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used for
、interior automotive decorative trim panels, to be applied to instrument cluster housings. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1 FOR INI
、TIAL APPROVAL AND AS REQUIRED BY QUALITY CONTROL 3.1.1 Bond and Stripping Strength - Initial (ASTM D 903, except 90 peel on a 0.5 in (13 mm) wide strip) The applique, as received, shall have a minimum bond strength of 2 lb (8.9 N) to initiate separation and a minimum continuing stripping strength of
、 1 lb (4.5 N), after being bonded to its substrate or test panel, and allowed to cure at room temperature for 72 h. The test panel shall have a painted or vacuum metalized surface, or be an “As molded“ plastic. The applique shall show no evidence of lifting after application and prior to bond test.
、3.1.2 Bond and Stripping Strength - Conditioned (ASTM D 903, except 90 peel on a 0.5 in (13 mm) wide strip) The applique, after application per para 3.1.1, shall have a minimum bond strength of 2.5 lb (11.2 N) to initiate separation and a minimum continuing stripping strength of 1 lb (4.5 N), after
