APPLICATION This specification was released originally for a coating to hold lubricants especially for break in p
3、eriods on engine parts, to reduce wear on moving parts and for mile corrosion resistance. 3. REQUIREMENTS Material specification requirements are to be used for initial qualification of materials. 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform t
4、o the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.3 FINISH The coating shall be uniform throughout when using M3B40-A, manganese phosphate, according to process specification PL 53-02, manganese iron phosphate coating for wear resistance, or by an equivalent method. 3
5、4 FILM THICKNESS Must have complete coverage The film characteristics are controlled by pre-cleaning, type of metal; by time in, temperature of, and concentration of solution. 3.5 RUST PROTECTION After phosphate coating, parts may be protected from corrosion by use of one of the following: 3.5.1 For in Process Storage Protection M3C83-A Standard Soluble Oil - Petroleum Base 3.5.2 For Long Time Storage Protection ESF-M7C31-A - Rust Preventive Compound 3.6 COATING The coating on parts must have a similar crystalline structure to that of the original approved sample.
