2、7-A11. SCOPEThe material defined by this specification is a thixotropic one component,anaerobic dimethacrylate base sealing and locking compound of mediumstrength.2. APPLICATIONThis material was originally released for sealing and locking of threadedplugs in cylinder block and core plugs in cylinder

3、 block and cylinder head.3. REQUIREMENTS3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESSSuppliers must conform to the requirements of Ford Quality SystemStandard Q-101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as describedtherein is required for material/source approval. Appropriatestatistical tools must be used to analyze proces

4、s/product data sothat variation in the final product is continuously reduced.3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSISFord Motor Company, at its option, may conduct infrared and/orthermal analysis of material/parts supplied to this specification.The IR spectra and thermograms establishe

5、d for initial approval shallconstitute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at thedesignated material laboratory. All samples shall produce IR spectraand thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when testedunder the same conditions.3.3 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONSAll tes

6、t values indicated herein are based on material conditioned ina controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relativehumidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under thesame conditions unless otherwise specified.3.4 COLOR Blue or as specified on Engineering drawing.3.5 DENSITY

Test data, t est samples and a new code identification areto be submitte

19、d with the request.Substance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or Ford, apply tothe materials addressed by this document. The restrictions aredefined in Engineering Materials Specification WSS-M99P9999-A1.4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALSMat erials defined by this specification must have prior approva

20、l by theresp onsible Materials Engineering activity. Suppliers desiring approvalof thei r materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffec ted Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivi

21、ty a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by aqualified and authorized representative of the test faci lity, demonstratingful l compliance with all the requirements of this specification (testresults, not nominal values), the material designation a nd code number, andtes t specime

22、ns for Ford evaluation. Fords engineering approval of amateri al will be based on its performance to this specification and on anassessment of suitability for intended processes and/or applications. Uponapprov al, the material will be added to the Engineering Material ApprovedSource List.5. GENERAL

23、INFORMATIONThe information given below is provided for clarification and assistancein meeting the requirements of this specification.5.1 STORAGE STABILITY(From date of receipt at Ford Motor Company)Minimum 12 months when stored in sealed, unopened drums containingminimum 250 mL material out of direct sunlight at ambienttemperatures of 5 to 28 C.
