SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a hot forged modified AISI 4600 steel powdered metal. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for materia

REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1 CHEMICAL COMPOSITION Carbon See Engrg. Drawing Manganese 0.35 max Nickel 1.7 - 2.2 Molybdenum 0.45 - 0.60 Sulphur 0.03 max Phosphorus 0.02 max 3.2 DENSITY, min 7.82 g/cc (ASTM B 328) 3.3 CRUSHING STRENGTH As per engineering drawing. The crushing strength shall be determined from actual tests on parts which have passed the performance requirements.
