2、 CLEANER - TAR AND ROAD OIL REMOVER ESR-M5B106-A 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a liquid tar and road oil remover. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used for removing tar and road oil. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTI

3、ON MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 SPECIFIC GRAVITY: at 15.5 C, min 0.790 (ASTM D 891) 3.3 WEIGHT, lbs/gal (kg/l), min 6.60 (0.79) 3.4 NON-VOLATILES: mg/100 ml, min 38 (ASTM D 268) 3.5 D

4、ISTILLATION RANGE (ASTM D 1078) 3.5.1 Initial Boiling Point, min 107 C 3.5.2 Dry Point, max 202 C 3.6 FLASH POINT, min 7.2 C (ASTM D 268, closed cup) 3.7 ANILINE POINT: (as received), min 35 C (ASTM D 611) 3.8 EFFECT ON FINISHES The material shall have no injurious effect on painted or lacquered fin

Any precautions involved in the use of the material must be cle

6、arly stated on the product label. 3.9.2 The label(s) for the material(s) must comply to the Federal Hazardous Substances Act and all other provisions under the Consumer Product Safety Commission and all other applicable federal, state and local regulations. Supplier shall furnish the affected produc

7、t engineering office with the label(s). 3.9.3 Supplier shall furnish certification that the composition of his product has been examined and that the label recommended is in compliance with the Federal Hazardous Substances Act and all other provisions under the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Co

8、mpleted Material Health and Safety Data Sheets and Hazardous Substances Data Sheets must be submitted by the supplier to the Ford Motor Company toxicologist. 3.9.4 If applicable, supplier shall furnish a copy of the laboratory report wherein the product was evaluated under the procedures required by

9、 the Federal Hazardous Substances Act. 3.9.5 Supplier must furnish detailed application instructions and specific usage information for container labels. This portion of the label information must be approved by the affected product engineering office. 3.9.6 If the label submitted by the supplier co

10、ntains any advertising claims, suitable corroborative testing data must also be furnished. Such claims and data are encouraged. 3.10 MARKING Containers and cartons must be marked with a code indicating source and compounding date of the material. Supplier must furnish this code to the affected produ

11、ct engineering office. Container marking may be waived if approved in writing by the affected product engineering office. 3.11 The test report data furnished by the supplier showing compliance with this specification shall give the specific test methods followed and shall give specific answers to ge

12、neralized requirements. 3.12 Generally accepted test methods (American Society for Testing and Materials, Society of Automotive Engineers and Ford Laboratory Test Methods are preferred) and procedures should be followed where such methods are known, otherwise the methods of evaluation should be expl
