2、ompatibility of various paints with ESB-M2J103-A, Black Underbody, or other materials. These paints, which are surplus paints, are mixed with the black underbody paint and used as underbody material. Equipment Required Mixer Laboratory Oven Spray Equipment As required in FLTM BI 103-02. Conditioning
3、 and Test Conditions All test values indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same conditions unless otherwise specified. Procedure 1. To a quantity of pai
4、nt being tested, add up to an equal amount (50-50) of the paint specified for compatibility in the appropriate Engineering specification. 2. Reduce the ESB-M14J260 Solvent to a spraying viscosity. Record amount of solvent required in percent. 3. Mix thoroughly with the mixer. 4. Age on shelf 3 - 7 d
5、ays. Recheck and adjust vi scosity. 5. Spray on standard panels per FLTM BI 103-02 to the thickness required in appropriate Engineering specification. 6、fied in the Engineering specification. 8. Expose panels to testing requirements for resistance properties per the Engineering specification. 9. Pour a pint can 3/4 full of the mixed paint, reduced to 26 seconds viscosity with M14J260 or equivalent, cover, and place in the laboratory oven at 140 F ov
7、ernight. 10. Remove the sample, allow to cool, check viscosity and examine for evidence of separation or other characteristics that could be deleterious to its use. 11. Report per the relative Engineering specification. Chemicals, materials, parts, and equipment referenced in this document must be used and handled properly. Each party is responsible for determining proper use and handling in its facilities.
