2、procedure is used to determine the increase of gloss after polishing (polish back) of low gloss or flat exterior enamels. Apparatus Required Glossmeter 60, refer FLTM BI 110-01 Polishing Block Total weight of block must be twelve pounds. (See Figure 1) Urethane Foam 4 inches x 6 inches x 1 inch thic
3、k. Felt Squares White filtering felt, 23 - 25 ounce weight per square yard, cut into 7 inch squares. Polish Rotunda R-122-A polish. Conditioning and Test Conditions All test values indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relative hum
4、idity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same conditions unless otherwise specified. 5、ly Rotunda polish to the felt on the polishing block, so that the entire surface is coated with a thin film of polish. 3. Place felt surface on panel and polish for 10 cycles, applying force in a horizontal direction only, so that only the polishing block exerts pressure on the panel. One cycle cons
6、ists of one forward and one return stroke. 4. Determine and record gloss of polished panel, using a 60 glossmeter. 5. Report initial gloss, final gloss and gloss difference. Chemicals, materials, parts, and equipment referenced in this document must be used and handled properly. Each party is responsible for determining proper use and handling in its facilities.
