2、effects of ultraviolet radiation on deterioration of fabrics after controlled irradiance water cooled xenon arc weatherometer exposure. Scope This procedure provides for two methods of evaluating deterioration after weatherometer exposure. These involve measuring either retained tensile strength or

The other 4 samples, 2 in each direction, will be used for original tensile strength values. 3. Expose the fabrics in axenon arc weatherometer as specified in the relevant material specifica

Test the tensile strength of the original and exposed samples as follows: (a) Secure test specimen centrally in the clamps of a constant rate of extension type of tensile machine having an initial jaw separation of 75 mm. The face of o

Report fiber deterioration if a significantly larger number of fibers (usually of shorter lengths) are removed from the exposed versus unexposed sample. Chemicals, materials, parts, and equipment referenced in this document must be used and handled properly. Each party is responsible for determining proper use and handling in its facilities.
