Cockman Revised Editorial - no technical change A. Cockman Application This procedure is used to determine the resistance of vinyl coated fabrics
2、 to cold cracking Apparatus Required Specimen Block Shall consist of a foam block held to the top (100 x 100 mm) surface of a hardwood block by means of any suitable adhesive. 1. Hardwood Block (1 O0 x 1 O0 x 25 mm) This block shall have an M 4.2 x 13 mm round head wood screw driven into the geometr
3、ic center of each of the four 1 O0 x 25 mm sides of the block to such a depth that the bottom of the head stands 3 mm from the block. 2. Foam Block (1 O0 x 1 O0 x 50 mm) The foam shall be made from a high resilient polyurethane (WSB-M2D402-A3, ESB-M4D113 or equivalent) with a density of 32 - 42 kg/m
4、3, and a load deflection at 25 % compression of 12 - 17 kPa. Oven Shall be capable of maintaining 80 +/- 2 OC. The oven used shall conform to IS0 188/ASTM E 145 Type HA, normal oven,l50 +/- 50 air changes per hour, and provide a minimum oven of 2 L/1 O0 cm2 of sample size. Freezer Thermostatically c

6、e weight guiding tube, the weight release shaft and the specimen block. A vertically mounted weight guiding metal tube at least 340 mm long with an outside diameter of 75 mm and an inside diameter of 72 mm. The lower end of the tube shall be 90 mm above the specimen block seat on the frame. A 1.8 kg

The shaft shall be equipped with a pin placed directly over the center of the tube over which the weight chain can
8、be hooked to suspend the weight and a latch so arranged that the weight can be released at any time during the test. Conditioning and Test Conditions All test values indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 “C and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity for not
9、less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same conditions unless otherwise specified. Procedure 1. Cut five specimens 190 mm square from the sample and punch a 6 mm hole in each corner 22 mm on center from the nearest edge (refer to Figure 2). 2. Mount the specimen grain side up on the po

Place the testing apparatus in the freezer and allow it to remain for such time as required for the cabinet and the specimen temperature (as determined by means of thermocou

The test apparatus and specimens remain in the freezer until testing is completed. 4. Lift the weight on the apparatus and secure on the pin of the release mechanism. 5. Po
