2、od is used to check for adequate curing of flexible PVC materials. Apparatus and Materials Required Glass Beaker - 150 mL, 95 mm in height Test Tube Clamp Steel Strip - Approximately 30 x 50 x 1 mm Ethyl Acetate Stop Watch - graduated in 0.2 sec increments Conditioning and Test Conditions All test v
3、alues indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same conditions unless otherwise specified. Procedure 1. Cut a specimen approximately 100 x 15 mm and fold i
4、t around the shorter edge of the steel strip (see Figure 1). 2. Attach the ends of the specimen on the steel strip using a test tube clamp. 3. Immerse specimen in ethyl acetate and start timing. 4. After approximately 2 minutes immersion time, withdraw the specimen from the solution and examine it w

If uncracked, again immerse in ethyl acetate and restart timing. 6. Stop timing when the first cracks on the specimen are observed. 7. Report the total immersion time.
6、 Note: If cracks are not observed, stop the test after 30 minutes immersion time. Chemicals, materials, parts, and equipment referenced in this document must be used and handled properly.
