4、ed under the same conditions unless otherwise specified. Procedure 1. Bond a 125 x 25 mm test strip of mastic along the length of the steel panel. Heat bondable or other mastics will be bonded per the applicable engineering material specification. Pressure sensitive mastics will be bonded by rolling
5、 a 4.5 kg weight twice over the length of the test strip. 2. Condition bonded test strips for 24 h at 23 +/ - 2 C and 50 +/ - 5 % relative humidity prior to testing. Using a razor blade or knife, cut the test strip into 25 x 25 mm sections. FORD LABORATORY TEST METHOD BV 001-05 Page 2 of 5 Copyright

Position the steel panel in the lower jaw of the test machine such that the test strip is perpendicular to, and inside the arms of, the special fixture (refer to Figure 1 and 3). The fixture roller arm must be on the back side of the steel panel. Center the 2
7、5 x 25 mm section of the te st strip to be evaluated directly above the peel edge of the special fixture arm (Figure 3). 4. Tighten the lower jaws to insure that the steel panel does not slip during the test. 5. Tighten the special fixture arms with the adjustment screw so that the arms are in conta

Apply load to the test specimen until load indicator return s to zero (i.e., until individual section of mastic is removed)
9、. 7. Record the maximum load obtained for five sections of the test strip. The average of these shall be reported as the bond adhesive strength.
