6、ivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted, and shall be suitable for the intended application. Changes in composition shall not be made without approval of Plant Engineering Office, Manufacturing Staff. 3.10 IDENTIFICATION: Materials supplied to this s
7、tandard shall be identified with the “M“ number printed on the side as well as the top of the containers in letters at least 2“ (50 mm) high in a contrasting color to that of the container. Container marking shall be in accordance with Manufacturing Standard ZF-10 and conform to all Federal, State,
8、and Local container contents labeling regula- tions which are in effect both in the area of shipment and use. 4. APPROVAL OF NEW SUPPLIERS: Materials submitted by new manufacturers to this standard must have Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Laboratory and Shop Trial approvals. Supplier
9、s are required to complete and submit the Material Health and Safety Data Sheet (Form 1291) and the Environmental Data Sheet (Form 68-100) prior to Shop Trial. Recommendations for the addition of new manufacturers to the Manufacturing Approved Source List (ASL) must be made in writing to the respons
10、ible Manufacturing Staff Office by the appropriate divisional standards activity in accordance with Manufacturing Procedure IId1. 5. ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL: Use of any material approved to this Standard must comply with the guidelines as established in the environmental review of the material, as the
11、y appear in the Materials and Toxicology (MATS) System. 6. HEALTH AND SAFETY: Use of any material approved to this standard must comply with the guidelines given under the Toxicological (TOX) review of the material as indicated in the MATS system. a. When contact with oil or grease is unavoidable, i
12、mpervious gloves should be worn as well as clean work clothes. b. When skin exposure cannot be avoided, removal of grease from the skin should be as prompt as possible. A mild soap or skin cleanser and water should be used to remove oil or grease. Industrial solvents should not be used to clean the skin.
