2、this standard is a heavy duty, additive fortified, non-asphaltine press lubricant with appropriate tackifying characteristics to promote adhesion to machine surfaces. 2. APPLICATION: This material was initially released for the automatic and/or manual lubrication of heavy forging press equipment. 3.
3、 REQUIREMENTS: 3.1 COMPOSITION: 3.1.1 COMPOSITION (AS DEFINED BY INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY): Infrared Spectrophotometry: Ford Motor Company, at its option, may conduct infrared analysis of material/parts supplied to this standard. The curves established for initial approval shall constitute the ref
4、erence standard, and shall be kept on file at Central Laboratory. All samples shall produce curves that correspond to the reference standard when tested under the same conditions as those specified on the master curve. 7、nd shall be suitable for the intended application. Changes in composition shall not be made without approval of the responsible Staff Office in accordance with Manufacturing Procedure IIdI. 3.5 IDENTIFICATION: Materials supplied to this standard shall be identified with the “M“ number printed on the
8、 side as well as the top of the containers in letter at least 2“ (50 mm) high in a contrasting color to that of the container. Container marking shall be in accordance with Manufacturing Standard ZF-10 and conform to all Federal, State, and Local contents labeling regulations which are in effect bot
9、h in the area of shipment and use. 4. APPROVAL OF NEW SUPPLIERS: Materials submitted by new manufacturers to this standard must have Regulatory Clearance, Laboratory and Shop Trial approvals. Suppliers are required to complete and submit the Material Health, Safety and Environmental Data Sheet (Form
10、 1291A) prior to Shop Trial. Recommendations for the addition of new manufacturers to the Manufacturing Approved Source List (ASL) must be made in writing to the responsible Staff Office by the appropriate divisional standards activity in accordance with Manufacturing Procedure IIdI. 5. ENVIRONMENTA
11、L CONTROL: Use of any material approved to this standard must comply with the guidelines as established in the environmental review of the materials as they appear in the Materials and Toxicology System (MATS). 6. HEALTH AND SAFETY: Use of any material approved to this standard must comply with guidelines given under the Toxicological (TOX) review of the material as indicated in the MATS system.
