Apply a 250 x 13 x 3 mm ribbon of adhesive centered lengthwise ontwo 250 x 50 x 3 mm panels identified in para 5.1. Condition test panels after adhesive a
13、pplication at 23 +/- 2 Cuntil full cure. (Reference para 5.2). Conduct 60 d eg mandrel bend test at 23 +/- 2 C and - 30 +/- 1 Cover a 50 mm diameter mandrel. Substrate is in contact withmandrel during test. Repeat above procedure on test assemblies heat aged at 70 +/- 2 Cfor 2 weeks.3.6 COLD SLAM RE
14、SISTANCE No cracking, adhesion or cohesion(FLTM BV 101-02, 10 cycles of failure6 slams per cycle at- 30 +/- 1 C, 3 samplesminimum) . Prepare test assemblies as illustrated in Figure I. Test substratesshall consist of 100 x 250 x 3 mm panels identified in para 5.1. Cond ition test assemblies after bo
15、nding at 23 +/- 2 C untiladhesive full cure. (Reference para 5.2). Mechan ically attach bonded test assembly to a 300 x 300 x 0.76 mmCRS base panel. Centrally locate test assembly on base panel. Conduct test as outlined per FL TM BV 101-02 following steps 9, 10,and 11 . Position panel in slam fixtur
16、e with test assembly facinginward. 17、the control plaques and failuremode must be ductileTest Method:. Impact test samples must be inj ection molded 127 x 127 mm or 101.6x 101.6 mm plaques with smooth surfaces and 2.54 mm thick. Prepar e five test samples with adhesive applied to one side, 1.02mm thic k, covering at least a 76.2 mm diam
18、eter area in center ofplaque. Subject the five test plaques a nd the five control plaques to bakecycle below:30 minutes at 77 +/- 2 C (oven time)30 minutes at 23 +/- 2 C30 minutes at 77 +/- 2 C (oven time)Adhesive must be fully cured. Reverse impact plaques (adhesive side out) at15 mph and a temperature of - 30 C +/- 1 C.3.8 FUEL RESISTANCEThe lo ad generated by any one supplier shall exhibit no greater thana 40 % loss from their recorded load generated in para 3.3.1.Test Method:. In addition, bumper assembliesshal l be exposed to environmental conditions from section 3.3 asrecom mended by Body Engineering and Materia
25、ls Engineering. Thesebump ers will be impact tested and evaluated for approval by PPE,Design, and Materials Engineering. The tested bumpers shall yieldsatisfactory failure modes.3.11 FUNCTIONAL APPROVALMaterials being evaluated for a pproval to this specification shall besubj ected to a production t
26、rial. Functional trial results must beapp roved by the affected assembly operation and Design Engineering.Result s shall be made available to Materials Engineering prior tomaterial approval and release.3.12 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITYAll materials supplied to this specification must be equ ivalent in a
27、llchar acteristics to the material upon which approval was originallygranted.Pri or to making any changes in the properties, composition,const ruction, color, processing, or labeling of the materialorigi nally approved under this specification, whether or not suchchanges affect the materials ability
28、 to meet the specificationrequi rements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology, andthe affected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed changesand obtain the written approval of the Materials Enginee ring activity.Test data, test samples, and new code identification are to besubmit
