4、k free in 30 minutes and cured after 72 h at R.T. Apply beads of adhesive to a clean float glass panel. Touch the bead gently using a cotton swab for tack free test. Brush apply metal primer onto painted coupon substrates in area where adhesive is to be applied. Condition the applied primer at R.T. for 30 minutes min, check the process standard for the max
7、open time. Brush apply glass primer or primers onto bottom 6.4 mm of each glass coupon according to the process standard of the primer or primers. Allow primer to air dry. Condition primer at R.T. for 5 minutes min check the process standard for the max open time. . Apply a 50 mm long by 6.4 mm diam
8、eter bead of adhesive to the primed glass, as illustrated in Figure 2. Within 5 minutes after adhesive application, position the adhesive on the glass coupon in contact with the primed metal surface. Maintain a 5 mm nominal adhesive bondline thickness. . Condition assemblies same at R.T. for various
9、 cure times as indicated above. . Determine the adhesion in a tensile machine having a jaw separation rate of 25 mm/minutes. Report strength value and mode of failure. 3.4 CURED ADHESIVE PROPERTIES 3.4.1 Flexibility (ASTM F 147, except condition at 150 mm long x 25 mm wide x 2.5 mm thick sample for
10、120 h at R.T., and then 4 h at the following temperatures) . 23 +/- 2 C No crack on 3 mm mandrel . -29 +/- 1 C No crack on 25 mm mandrel 3.4.2 Hardness, Durometer “A“ 60 +/- 5 Test Method: Flow enough material into a container (such as an ointment tin) to give a cured section 5 mm thick. 15、erials according to these specifications shall meet all requirements of performance specifications WSS-M11P57-A5. 3. 6 LINE TRIAL The Requirements defined in this specification are based upon laboratory coupon testing and define the minimum acceptance criteria for adhesive performance. Prior to use,
16、 the adhesive must be evaluated under the production parameters of the relevant production line. The choice of substrates, plant processing conditions and specific design application may affect adhesive performance. Compliance with this specification does not guarantee the adhesive will function for
17、 all potential applications on a vehicle. Therefore materials being evaluated for approval to this specification shall be subjected to a production trial. Functional trial results must be approved by the affected assembly operation. Results shall be made available to Materials Engineering prior to m
18、aterial approval and release. 4.
