SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a polyester seat belt webbing woven with continuous filament yarn and finished selvages. Proper dyes and dyeing procedures shall be employed to provid
3、e acceptable colors, appearance, and physical properties. Color stripping for redyeing of webbing rejected for color is not allowed. The webbing shall be of good quality and uniform construction. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used for metal to metal type seat
4、 belts on the 1994 Mustang. 3. REQUIREMENTS Test Method Procedures: All webbing properties denoted by shall be tested in accordance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 209. DE requirements listed in any of the following paragraphs are intended as maximum target values. Visual ratings will
5、 take precedence. 3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESS Suppliers must conform to the requirements of Ford Quality System Standard Q-101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as described therein is required for material/source approval. Appropriate statistical tools must be used to analyze process/product data so
6、that variation in the final product is continuously reduced. 3.2 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 48-67 % relative humidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under the sam
7、e conditions unless otherwise specified. 3.3 APPEARANCE (FLTM BI 109-01) The color, pattern, and finish shall match the approved Design Center master sample, or shall be as specified on the engineering drawing. Note: This webbing is to be manufactured with a 2 x 2 herringbone reversing twill resulti

19、e designated on the Engineering drawing. 3.23 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITY All materials supplied to this specification must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes in the properties, composition, construction, color, p
20、rocessing or labeling of the material originally approved under this specification, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology and the affected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed change
21、s and obtain the written approval of the Materials Engineering activity. Test data, test samples and a new code identification are to be submitted with the request. Substance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or Ford apply to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are defi

APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Materials defined by this specification must have prior approval by the responsible Materials Engineering activity. Suppliers desiring approval of
23、their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from the affected Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Upon request, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineering activity a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and au
24、thorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of this specification (test results, not nominal values), the material designation and code number, and test specimens for Ford evaluation. Fords engineering approval of a material will be based on
25、its performance to this specification and on an assessment of suitability for intended processes and/or applications. Upon approval, the material will be added to the Engineering Material Approved Source List. 5.
