2、O BE USED FOR NEW DESIGN 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a polyester seat belt webbing woven with untwisted continuous filament yarn and finished selvages. Proper dyes and dyeing procedures shall be employed to provide acceptable colors, appearance, and physical properties. A

3、surface finish may be applied to enhance abrasion resistance. Color stripping for redyeing of webbing rejected for color is not allowed. The webbing shall be of good quality and uniform construction. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used for metal to metal type

4、seat belts on the 1996 Mark VIII. 3. REQUIREMENTS Test Method Procedures: All webbing properties denoted by shall be tested in accordance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 209. DE requirements listed in any of the following paragraphs are intended as maximum target values. Visual rating

5、s will take precedence. 3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESS Suppliers must conform to the requirements of Ford Quality System Standard Q-101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as described therein is required for material/source approval. Appropriate statistical tools must be used to analyze process/product da

6、ta so that variation in the final product is continuously reduced. 3.2 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 48-67 % relative humidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under t

7、he same conditions unless otherwise specified. 15、ILING AND CLEANABILITY (FLTM BN 112-02) The performance of production material shall be equal to or better than that exhibited by the sample originally approved for production by the Materials Engineering Activity. 3.19 PLIABILITY (FLTM BN 102-05) 3.19.1 Lateral (fill) direction 350 - 800 units The

16、webbing when flexed and tested with the prescribed weight shall have the above reading of 350 - 800 units on the dial indicator face. Use a total of 50 g weight. Moving parts of the dial indicator add up to 20 g, that is, add a 30 g weight on top of the indicator. Note: Lateral pliability requiremen

17、ts, within the above range, may vary depending on individual vehicle system needs. Functional approval must be obtained from the releasing Car Program Management or Restraints Engineering office and submitted to Materials Engineering before approval will be given to this specification. 3.19.2 Longit

20、PLIERS RESPONSIBILITY All materials supplied to this specification must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. 21、nstruction, color, processing or labeling of the material originally approved under this specification, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology and the affected Materials Engineering activity of

22、 the proposed changes and obtain the written approval of the Materials Engineering activity. Test data, test samples and a new code identification are to be submitted with the request. Substance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or Ford apply to the materials addressed by this document. The r

23、estrictions are defined in Engineering Material specification WSS-M99P9999-A1. 4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Materials defined by this specification must have prior approval by the responsible Materials Engineering activity. Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression

24、of interest from the affected Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Upon request, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineering activity a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, dem

25、onstrating full compliance with all the requirements of this specification (test results, not nominal values), the material designation and code number, and test specimens for Ford evaluation. Fords engineering approval of a material will be based on its performance to this specification and on an a

26、ssessment of suitability for intended processes and/or applications. Upon approval, the material will be added to the Engineering Material Approved Source List. 5. GENERAL INFORMATION 5.1 INSTRUMENTED COLOR READINGS The instrument used for color difference measurements shall be either a spectrophotometer or a tristimulus colorimeter, and shall be capable of providing the following: Geometry 0/45 Observer 10 degree Specular Reflectance In (if an option) Illuminant D 65 Sample port size 25 mm (unless specified otherwise in test method)
