10、must meet all specification requirements. 3.6 PREPARATION OF TEST PANELS 3.6.1 Substrate Polycarbonate, ABS or Polypropylene. Panels with a smooth surface shall be used for all resistance investigations. 3.6.2 Plastic Preparation The surface to be painted shall be cleaned by an acceptable process, e
11、.g. power wash, to remove mold releasing agents, fingerprints, oils, dir and moisture. Note: PP/EPDM plastics must either be primed with an adhesion promoter/adhesion primer or pretreated by flame process, plasma treatment or corona discharge prior to painting to provide sufficient paint adhesion. 13、repared under this specification shall be aged for at least 168 h at 23 +/- 2 “C or 48 h at 60 +/- 1 “C before testing for resistance properties. 3.7 APPEARANCE Color, gloss, soft coating effect and surface finish shall match master Trim Sample and/or Master Appearance Sample as approved by Design.

15、 3.9 QUALITY The topcoat must be adaptable for application in accordance with the appropriate Ford Motor company Process Specification. The top coat must be compatible with all related materials, e.g. substrate materials, cleaners, thinners, etc. 3.10 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITY All materials supplied
16、to this specification must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved under this specification, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification req
17、uirements, the Supplier shall notify the affected Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities (with reasons) of the proposed changes. APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Materials defined by this specification for direct supply to the Company must have prior approval. Certain materials subcontracted by part suppliers may also require prior approval. These include mater
20、ials critical to the Companys business for regulatory, safety, environmental or compatibility requirements or contractual agreements. Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Materials Engineering activity. Upon request, t
21、he Supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of this specification. 5.
