SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a rigid thermoplastic polyolefin elastomer (TPO) injection molding compound, 26% mineral filled, wit

3、h medium high impact and good scratch resistance. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used for instrument panels. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirem

4、ents For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.4 MOLDING COMPOUND 3.4.1 Melt Flow Rate 3 - 6 g/10 minutes (ISO 1133/ASTM D 1238, 230 C, 2.16 kg) 3.4.2 Mineral Content 24 - 28% (ISO 3451/1, Method A, talc filler, 1 h at 650 +/- 25 C, test portion 1 to 2 g) 3.5 MOLDED TEST SPECIMEN 3.5.1 Preparatio

5、n of Test Specimens Unless otherwise specified all tests shall be carried out on injection molded one-end gated test specimens. The following dimensions are required: A. 150 min x 10 x 4.0 +/- 0.2 mm (Tensile Bar, ISO 3167) B. 120 x 10 x 4.0 +/- 0.2 mm Specimens with shorter dimensions shall be cut

6、from the center portion of the test specimen A and/or B. The specimens shall be prepared according to ISO 294. No annealing allowed. 3.5.2 Density 1.08 - 1.13 g/cm (ISO 1183, Method A/ASTM D 792, Method A1) 3.5.3 Hardness Durometer D 59 - 66 (ISO 868/ASTM D 2240, 15 s dwell) ENGINEERING MATERIAL SPE

Soak time at each temperature interval - 3 minutes minimum) Additionally, a Shear Modulus vs. Temperature curve shall be plotted for -50 to +140 C temperature range, at 5 C minimum intervals. The plotted curve must be within tolerance range shown on page 5. 3.5.

14、 specimen size required for material approval is 355 x 100 x 1.0 +/- 0.1 mm with a smooth surface. 3.7 FOGGING (FLTM BO 116-03) Fog Number, min 90 Formation of excessive amounts of clear film or droplets is cause for rejection. 3.8 WEATHERING RESISTANCE After exposure in accordance with 3.8.1 and 3.

15、8.2 the material shall show no fading or color change in excess of specified AATCC rating (AATCC Gray Scale for Evaluating Change in Color, 10 step). In addition, there shall be no cracking, crazing or other deterioration. A slight loss of gloss or chalking will be allowed provided an acceptable app

16、earance can be achieved by washing with mild detergents and water (ratio 5:95 by volume), or equivalent at permission of the affected Product Development Materials Activity. All initial approvals will be based on the preliminary Weatherometer exposure, pending Florida exposure results for final appr

17、oval. 3.8.1 Xenon Arc Weatherometer Rating 4-5 (SAE J1885, 1240 kJ/m2exposure minimum, specimen size: 150 x 100 mm minimum, 3.2 +/- 0.2 mm thick, molded in smooth polished mold) 3.8.2 12 months Florida Rating 4-5 (FLTM BI 160-01, 5 south, under glass, specimen size: 150 x 100 mm, minimum, 3.2 +/- 0.
