2、IVE, FATTY ACID AMIDE WSK-M99J379-A NOT TO BE USED FOR NEW DESIGN 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a fatty acid amide, neutralized with acetic acid. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used to control the flow of cathodic electrocoat primers a

3、nd to avoid dry-markings. The additive shall only be used on suppliers request and in an amount specified by the supplier. 3. REQUIREMENTS Material specification requirements are to be used for initial qualification of materials. 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers

4、and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.4 COMPOSITION 3.4.1 Solution of an acetic acid neutralized fatty acid amide in water. 3.4.2 Non-Volatile 24 - 26% (FLTM BI 102-01) 3.4.3 Density See initial sample (ASTM D 1475) +/- 0.2

5、 g/mL 3.4.4 Color Light brown, clear 3.5 QUALITY When this additive is used with electrocoat primer, the resulting bath material must meet all requirements of the affected Material Specification. 5. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeti

6、ng the requirements of this specification. 5.1 STORAGE STABILITY 3 months During a storage of 3 months at room temperature, the material as received shall not jell or liver upon standing and must be free from settling which cannot be dispersed by normal stirring.
