SCOPE The material defined by these specifications is a pigmented two-component paint syste
3、m suitable for first surface application to interior plastic parts. 2. APPLICATION These specifications were released originally as a decorative finish for interior parts. All painted parts must meet WSS-M2P188-B1/Latest. All paint applicators must meet the Interior Parts Painter Approval Process (W
4、SS-M2P195-A).These paint systems are typically used to decorate interior visible surfaces (i.e. bezels, switches, buttons, console, etc.). 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS 3.1.1 Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements
5、 For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1.2 Vehicle Interior Environment Quality Component Performance Requirements Components used in interior applications must meet the requirements outlined in WSS-M99P2222-D1/Latest. 3.2 PHYSICAL PROPERTIES 3.2.1 Stability (6 months at 23 +/- 2 C) Shall not
6、 liver or jell upon standing and must be free from settling which is not dispersed by normal agitation. The viscosity of the material shall not increase or decrease more than 10 s. 3.3 PREPARATION OF TEST PANELS 3.3.1 Testing Requirement/ Specimen Preparation Tests shall be performed on plaques of a
7、ppropriate substrate.
