SCOPE This specification defines the performance requirements for sealants which are applied to threaded parts. 2. APPLICATION This specification was originally released for bolts, screws where thread sealing is

REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.4 APPLICATION OF THE SEALANT Parts will be received in a coated condition. The responsib
4、ility for application of the sealant and method of application shall be that of the parts supplier. 3.5 PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS (WSPM WX201) The coatings when applied to ISO metric coarse threaded bolts, screws, shall ensure that the Thread Sealing performance requirements conform to the Worldwide Standard Parts Manual specification WX201. The Thread Sealing tests shall be carried out as specified in WX201 3.6 CORROSION RESISTANCE Corrosion test requirements defined in the protective finish specifications shall apply after application of the thread sealant material.
