SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a NLGI 2 grease consisting of polyalfaolefin base fluid, barium complex soap thickener, extreme pressure additives and oxidation and corrosion inhibitors to give the desired characteristics. 2. APPLICATION This specification was re

3、leased originally for materials used for lubrication of MMT6 and IB5 transmission input shaft splines. The validated material is exclusive to GETRAG Ford Transmissions GMBH and should not be considered for use in other applications without validation. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PR

4、ODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements for Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 COLOR Light Grey (Visual) 3.3 WORKED PENETRATION, tenths of a millimeter 265 - 295 (ASTM D 217, DIN 2137, 60 strokes) 3.4 DROPPING POINT 230C min

12、tested for resistance to stress cracking when used for additional applications that come in contact with polymers such as PC, ABS, PC+ABS, ASA or acrylic. 4.8.3 Elastomer Compatibility (ASTM D 4289, 70h, 100oC, DIN 53505, DIN 53504) Note: Not tested for initial application of this grease. Grease mus

13、t be tested for elastomer compatibility when used on additional applications that come in contact with elastomers. Application specific elastomer should be used for testing instead of a reference elastomer. 5. SUMMARY OF REVISIONS 2011 09 02 Revise material description under Scope Add additional information under Application. Lot certification tests moved to Requirements, all other requirements moved to General Information. Add Functional Approval to Requirements. Add information on interface compatibility which is a requirement of WSS-M13P13-A.
