2、he material defined by this specification is a circular knitted polyester face fabric made from 100% virgin yarn. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used as an interior trim fabric for the Figo 2016 MY seat insert. The fabric was originally approved as tri-laminat
3、ed with foam and a backing scrim. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES This specification requires the use of approved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD file, or other documents. The list of a
4、pproved sources is located within Ford at or available externally through a Ford Materials Engineer. 3.2 APPPEARANCE The color, pattern, and finish shall match the approved Corporate Design master sample. 3.3 FABRIC PERFORMANCE In addition to the requirements listed herein, the fabric shall meet al
5、l requirements of WSS-M8P18-B1/B2/B3/B4/latest as applicable. 3.4 VEHICLE INTERIOR ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE Materials used in interior applications must meet the requirements outlined in WSS-M99P2222-D1/latest, Performance, Vehicle Interior Environmental Quality Material/Component Requirements. Dat
6、a must be included in material submission package. 3.5 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values are based on material conditioned for not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. Testing of the material should occur in the con

Contact for questions concerning Engineering Material Specifications. 4.1 Purchase departments will ensure that the material defined in this specification and shipped to any one assembly plant will be produced by one supplier only. In the event of a Global Pro
11、gram or Regional duplication, each regional location of the supplier for this specification must provide a Construction package and be approved to meet this specification. 4.2 If yarn is locally sourced it must meet the above fabric construction, composition and yarn construction. The fabric must al
12、so meet the requirements of WSS-M8P18-B1/B2/B3/B4/latest. 4.3 Global strategy for this fabric is to use tri-laminate/foam & scrim construction in all regions. 4.4 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design
13、 or Product Development, and Materials Engineering. The supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of the Material Specification. Tested mat
14、erial samples must be available for review upon request and kept for a minimum of one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the associated quality control documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans, Certification testing) with Ford. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether
16、or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the supplier shall notify the affected Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities of the proposed changes (with reasons) by submission of a completed Suppliers Request
17、for Engineering Approval, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, all samples tested to the specifications for Design Verification (DV), Production Verification (PV) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept until Job 1. 4.6 RESTRICTED S
18、UBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDARD Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A/latest which is updated yearly.
