SCOPE The materials defined by this spec
2、ification are bulked continuous filament (BCF) nylon, cut pile carpets, tufted into a synthetic primary foundation. It is then coated with a polyethylene back coating. 2. APPLICATION This material was released originally for carpets used for full floor applications as part of the Carpet Construction
3、 Strategy. 3. REQUIREMENTS In addition to the requirements listed herein, the end-item carpet assembly (molded or otherwise fabricated) shall meet all requirements of the WSS-M8P16-A performance specification for full floor applications and the Sound and Heat SDS. This carpet meets the Resistance to
4、 Abrasion requirements of 2,000 cycles per WSS-M8P16-A para. 3.13, therefore, throw-in mats must be standard equipment or a heel pad must completely cover the areas most vulnerable to driver wear. 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform t
5、o the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 SAMPLE SELECTION All evaluations shall be conducted on test specimens taken from finished roll goods prior to any operations, such as reheating or molding. 3.3 APPEARANCE (FLTM BI 109-01) The color, pattern, and fini

The backcoating shall
9、be thoroughly melted, as evidenced by the absence of a milky appearance and/or unmelted polyethylene granules. The polyethylene shall thoroughly saturate the base of the pile fiber bundles to ensure adequate tuft lock. Penetration of the polyethylene through to the face shall be controlled to provid
