SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a well-refined middle distillate petroleum product containing normal commercial additives. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for mat
3、erial used as initial fill fuel for diesel engines in passenger cars and trucks. This material is not specifically intended for use in certification testing. It may be used for engine hot test, mileage accumulation or general fueling. 3. REQUIREMENTS This material must be produced using current refi

A commercial corrosion inhibitor package is normally required to pass paragraph 3.10.2 Rust Prevention and paragraph 3.15 Water Reaction. 3.19 DYESTUFF The material shall be dyed in accordance with Customs an
13、d Excise requirements. 3.20 ASH 0.01% mass max (ISO 6245/ASTM D 482) 5. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. 5.1 FLAMMABILITY This material represents a potential fire hazard. The Manufacturing
14、 Engineering Department or other responsible activity shall notify both the Security and Safety Units of its presence to assure that proper fire precautions are provided. The location in which it is used or stored shall be included in the notifications. 5.2 SAMPLING AND SUBMISSION OF SAMPLES (ISO 3170/3171, ASTM D 4057/D 4177) 5.3 Quality Control records must be made available to the responsible product engineering office upon request.
