SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a dry blended slush molded polyvinyl chloride skin that is both UV and heat stabilized and is used

3、as a formed instrument coverstock. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally to be used as flexible cover stock for the instrument panel of the Expedition. 3. REQUIREMENTS This material must also meet the requirements in WSS-M15P45-A and any applicable SDS including but not limited t

4、o the IP and PAB SDS. 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.4 TEST SPECIMEN 3.4.1 Preparation of Test Specimens Unless otherwise specified, all tests sha

5、ll be carried out on specimens die cut from unformed sheets. 3.4.2 Specific Gravity (+/- 0.1) 1.17 (ASTM D 792) 3.4.3 Hardness, Durometer 75 (15 s dwell, +/- 5) 3.4.4 Tensile Strength at Max Load, min 10 MPa (ASTM D 638, 500 mm/minute test speed machine and transverse direction) 3.4.4.1 Elongation a

10、E TESTING The materials approved to this specification must meet the performance specification WSS-M15P45-A for Instrument Panels and the applicable SDS such as the IP-SDS. If the final assembly contains an integrated airbag the material must meet the PAB-SDS and Restraints must be contacted for all requirements. Once documentation is provided that this testing is complete the material will be added to the approved source list. 5.
