SCOPE The material defined by
4、this specification is a Lyric pattern, knit fabric, flame laminated to flame bondable polyether urethane foam or adhesive laminated to a backing scrim. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used as cover material for headliners, sun visors and pillars. Any other appl
5、ications must be evaluated and approved by the responsible Materials Engineering activity. 2.1 LIMITATION Dark colors used for pillar applications, must use a dark colored backing to prevent read through. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES This specification requires the use of approved sources. O
6、nly the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD file, or other documents. The list of approved sources is located within Ford at or available externally through a Ford Materials Engineer. 3.2 WSS-M5H40-B1/B2/B4. The
7、se specifications are based on virgin materials. 3.3 WRS-M5H40-B20/21 These specifications must contain 20% minimum recycled content as defined by WRS-M99P42-A2. 9、ning Formed Performance: WSS-M15P27-G/latest Performance, Roof Systems Fabrics, Interior: WSS-M8P27-A1/latest. 3.6 VEHICLE INTERIOR ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE Materials used in interior applications must meet the requirements outlined in WSS-M99P2222-D1/latest, Performance, Vehicle Interior Environme
10、ntal Quality Material/Component Requirements. Data must be included in material submission package. 3.7 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values are based on material conditioned for not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity

GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting
15、 the requirements of this specification. Contact for questions concerning Engineering Material Specifications. 4.1 Purchase departments will ensure that the material defined in this specification and shipped to any one assembly plant will be produced by one supplier only. In the event of a Global P
16、rogram or regional duplication, each regional location of the supplier for this specification must provide a construction package and be approved to meet this specification. 4.2 If yarn is locally sourced it must meet the above fabric construction, composition and yarn construction. The fabric must
17、also meet the requirements of WSS-M8P18-B1/B2/B3/B4/latest. 4.3 Global strategy for this fabric is to use tri-laminate/foam & scrim construction in all regions. 4.4 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Desi
18、gn or Product Development, and Materials Engineering. The supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of the Material Specification. Tested m
19、aterial samples must be available for review upon request and kept for a minimum of one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the associated quality control documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans, Certification testing) with Ford. 4.5 SUPPLIERS ONGOING RESPONSIBIL
20、ITY All materials must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the supplier shall
21、 notify the affected Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities of the proposed changes (with reasons) by submission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, al
22、l samples tested to the specifications for Design Verification (DV), Production Verification (PV) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept until Job 1. 4.6 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDARD Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to
23、the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1 which is updated yearly.
