SCOPE This specification defines the standard
2、performance requirements for hard non-flexible materials used in exterior tonneau cover applications. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for materials used in the F150 exterior tonneau cover. In addition, other components used in the tonneau cover system must meet the followin
3、g requirements if present in the system. Exterior rigid painted parts must meet WSS-M2P180-D/latest. Labels must meet WSS-M99P41-A10/A72/latest. Exterior plastic parts must meet WSS-M98P13-D/latest. For component types other than those classified above, please contact Materials Engineering for direc

REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A or latest). 3.2 SAMPLE SELECTION All evaluations shall be conducted on test
5、 specimens taken from production representative exterior tonneau assemblies or parts. 3.3 APPEARANCE (FLTM BI 109-01) The color, pattern, and finish shall match the approved Design Center master sample or shall be specified on the engineering drawing. 3.4 COMPOSITION Construction as specified on the
6、 Engineering Drawing. 7、urn Rate 100 mm/minute max 3.6 RESISTANCE PROPERTIES 3.6.1 Horizontal Fluid Spotting Resistance Rating 4-5 min (FLTM BI 113-01, AATCC Evaluation Procedure 2 Gasoline Only) The material shall meet the specified Grey Scale rating. In addition, no surface distortion dulling, or permanent softening perm
8、itted. 3.6.2 Resistance to Heat Aging Rating 4 min (ISO 105-A02/AATCC Evaluation Procedure 1) Test Procedure: The production level part must be tested. Expose the test sample to 92 +/- 2 C in a mechanical convection oven for 16 hrs. After heat exposure, allow samples to cool to 23 +/- 2 C for a mini
9、mum of 1 hour prior to evaluation. Acceptance Criteria: The material shall meet the specified Grey Scale rating. In addition, no color tone change (e.g.pink) is allowed, no visible cracks, blisters, softening, dulling, or evidence of material degradation when observed with the unaided eye from a dis
