Depended on installation posi-tion (passenger or engine compartment) t

The test facilities and equipmentshall be in good working order and shall have a validcalibration label.3.1.2 Alternatives. Alternative test facilities andequipmen

6、t may also be used. However, all measur-ing variables as specified in this specification shallbe determined correctly with respect to its physicaldefinition.3.1.3 Facilities.3.1.3.1 Ovens. Not applicable.3.2 Test Samples. Number of test samples as spec-ified in each paragraph.The hoses to be tested sha

8、ll be manufactured underfull production conditions.No parts out of prototype tools shall be used.If not stated otherwise, for testing smooth hoses withdifferent diameters but equal material, three repre-sentative diameters (small, medium, large) shall betested.3.3 Conditioning. Test samples for all

9、tests shall bepreconditioned for at least 16 h at a temperature of(+23 5) C and a relative humidity of (50 6) %.Unless otherwise specified, all tests other than“in process” tests shall be conducted at this tempera-ture. Where no tolerance is specified, all values shallbe considered approximately.3.4

10、 Documentation. Samples of components ormaterial released to this standard shall be tested forconformity with the requirements of this standard andapproved by the responsible GM Department prior tothe start of delivery of production level componentsor materials.Anychange to thecomponentor materiale.

11、g. design,function, properties, manufacturing process and/orlocation of manufacture requires a new releaseof the product. It is the sole responsibility of thesupplier to provide the customer, unsolicited, withdocumentation of any change or modification to theproduct/process, and to apply for a new r

12、elease.If not otherwise agreed to the entire verification testshall be repeated and documented by the supplierprior to start of delivery of the modified or changedproduct. In some cases a shorter test can be agreedto between the responsible GM Department and thesupplier.3.4.1 Test Results. Test resu

13、lts shall be reported ina test report (see example in GME14022) The testreport shall include as minimum:Name of the supplier.Date.Designation.IMDS_ID and information. If the IMDS datasheethas been approved by the customer.The result and interpretation of test result.3.4.2 Deviations from Test Proced

14、ure. Deviationsfrom the requirements of the test procedures shallhave been agreed upon. Such requirements shallbe specifiedon componentdrawings, test certificates,reports etc.4 Requirements and Procedure4.1 Identification. Aspartofthe workoftypetesting,materialidentification shall be performed by me

15、ans ofdetermination of various chemical and physical prop-erties and characteristics in order to determine theproperties and characteristics of type-tested hose.This is done in order to obtain reference values thatwould be needed in the event of any claims. Depar-tures from these reference values ex

16、ceeding normaltolerances shall initiate more extensive inspection inaccordance with this standard.4.1.1 IR-spectrum. This method is used for identifi-cation of organic compounds and takes place on thebasis of the position and intensity through molecularmovement provoked absorption.The analysis of th

17、e insulation shall be performed indelivery condition, aftershort-term ageing (240 h) andafter long-term ageing (3000 h).4.2 Dimensions. Measurements according toparagraph 4.2.1 and to paragraph 4.2.2 shall beperformed at the same time.Test sample: Prepare three test samples each with alength of 500

18、mm.4.2.1 Outer Diameter (Do).4.2.1.1 Procedure. The outer diameter shall bemeasured at two points along the length of the hoseseparated by a distance of 100 mm. The diametershall be taken to be the mean value of three mea-surements at each point. The measurement shallbe made peripherally with a mutu

19、al displacement of120 .Measurement accuracy: 0.01 mm.4.2.1.2 Interpretation of Results. No single valueshall exceed the value given in Appendix A.4.2.2 Inner diameter (Di).4.2.2.1 Procedure. Theinnerdiametershallbemea-suredbyaseriesofmandrelswithanincreasingdiam-eter of 0.1 mm being passed through a

20、 test sectionof the smooth hose. The mandrel shall be inserted 50 mm into the hose. The inner diameter is equalto the diameter of the mandrel that can be easilyinserted.4.2.2.2 Interpretation of Results. No single valueshall exceed the value given in Appendix A. The thickness shall be mea-sured at two points along the hose separated by adistance of 100 mm. The thickness shall be takento be th

22、e mean value of three measurements at eachpoint. The measurement shall be made peripherallywith a mutual displacement of 120 .4.2.3.2 Interpretation of Results. The insulationthickness shall be in accordance with Appendix A.4.3 Impact.Test sample: Prepare three test samples each witha length of 150

The mass of the hammer shallbe 400 g.Place the test samples after

25、preconditioned for 16 hat a temperature of (+23 5) C, parallel to the steelbase. Then allow the hammer to fall from a height of500 mm onto the hose.4.3.1.2 Interpretation of Results. Cracks, fracturesand other defects are not permitted.4.3.2 Impactafter Short-term Ageing. The mass ofthe hammer shall

26、 be 200 g.Place the sample in a vertically orientation, in a hotoven with a natural draught and long-term tempera-ture specified in Table 1 for 240 h. The air containedshall be completely changed (820) times per hour.The test sample shall be separated by 50 mm fromeach other and from the inner surfa

27、ce of the oven.Hoses of different material shall not be tested at thesame time.Immediately after ageing, withdraw the test samplesand maintain them at (+23 5) C for 16 h. Placethe test samples parallel to thesteelbase. Then allowthe hammer to fall from a height of 500 mm onto thehose.4.3.2.1 Interpr

28、etation of Results. Cracks, fracturesand other defects are not permitted.4.3.3 ImpactatLow Temperature. The mass of thehammer shall be 200 g.After conditioning the test samples for 24hinafreezing chamber at a temperature of -40 C, placethe test samples parallel to the steel base.Thenallowthehammerto

29、fallfroma heightof150mmonto the hose.Once the tube has attained (+23 5) C, it shall bevisually examined for cracks.4.3.3.1 Interpretation of Results. Cracks anddefects are not permitted.4.4 Bending Test.4.4.1 Bending after Long-term Ageing.4.4.1.1 Test Sample. Prepare three test sampleseach with a l

30、ength of 400 mm.4.4.1.2 Procedure. Place the sample in a verticallyorientation, in a hot oven with a natural draughtand long-term temperature specified in Table 1for 3000 h. The air contained shall be completelychanged (820) times per hour.The test sample shall be separated by 50 mm fromeach other a

31、nd from the inner surface of the oven.Hoses of different material shall not be tested at thesame time.Immediately after ageing, withdraw the test samplesand maintain them at (+23 5) C for 16 h.The test samples shall then be winded 720 around amandrel of four times the inner diameter of the hose.The

32、time for winding 360 shall be 5 s. The time forholding the hose in this position shall be 60 s shallbe performed at a temperature of (+23 5) C.4.4.1.3 Interpretation of Results. Cracks, fracturesand other defects are not permitted.4.4.2 Bending Test in Cold.4.4.2.1 Test Sample. Prepare three test sa

33、mpleseach with a length of 400 mm.4.4.2.2 Procedure. The test samples shall be condi-tioned for 24 h at -30 C. The test samples shall beimmediately after retaining from the chamber winded720 around a mandrel of four times the inner diam-eter of the hose. The time for winding 360 shall be 5 s.The tim

34、e for holding the hose in this position shall be 60 s.Once the hose has attained (+23 5) C. It shall bevisually examined for cracks.4.4.2.3 Interpretation of Results. The hose shallhave no cracks or fractures.4.5 Shrinkage after Heat.4.5.1 TestSample. Prepare three test samples eachwith a length of

35、200 mm.4.5.2 Procedure. Measure the exact length of thetest sample at a temperature of (+23 5) C prior tothe test. Put the test sample in a hot air oven withnatural draught, in a horizontal position, so that theair may circulate freely from all sides, for 15 min ata temperature according to Table 1

36、(3000 h) +50 C.(E.g. a class T2 hose shall be tested at +150 C.)After cooling to (+23 5) C, measure the lengthagain.4.5.3 Interpretation of Results.
