2、 underbody protective wax which, in use, is in contact with after treatment products (service - underbody protective waxes). Steel test panels with the dimensions (100 x 174 x 1)mm and coated with HBEC shall be used as test pieces. each after treatment product shall be tested. At least 2 test pieces

Heating oven with forced circulation capable of maintaining the specified temperature within f2,5K (Ovens conforming to DIN 50 011, Part 1, clause 2.4 are suitable). Suitable equipment and auxiliary means for airless spray application of after treatment products. procedure The underbody protective wax (production material/experimental material) shall be applied to the surface of the HBEC-coated steel test panels to g

5、ive the specified coating thickness. The coated steel test panels shall be dried at a temperature of + 23OC 15K for a period of 7 days. Subsequently the steel test panels shall be artificially aged as follows: Steel test panels shall be immersed in a 5% NaC1 solution, then exposed in the horizontal

6、position as follows: Up*e ol Transiarton issue : 2/88 lh at - 2OoC f3K 5h at + 23C i5K lh at - 2OoC i3K 17h at + 5OoC f2,5K This ageing cycle shall be started on Monday morning and shall be repeated daily. From Friday evening through to Monday the steel test panels shall be stored at + 5OoC i2,5K. S

7、ubsequently the cycle of clause 4.3.1 through to 4.3.6 shall be completely repeated. After completion of the artificial ageing (clause 4.3) a released after treatment product shall be airless sprayed from a distance ofe30cm on to the steel test panel, which is placed in a vertical position. The coat

8、ing thickness shall be as recommended. Subsequently the steel test panel shall be allowed to dry in air at a temperature of + 23C f5K for a period of 2 days.
