SCOPE This standard specifies the lead-tin alloy coated steel sheets and strips and welded pipes used by GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology Company(hereinafter referred to as the “GMDAT“). 2. MANUFACTURING METHOD The
3、se shall be manufactured by dipping properly pretreated cold rolled steel sheets with lead-tin alloy or electrolytic plating. 3. TYPE AND USE Table 1. 4、e chemical composition and mechanical properties of the base metal shall conform to the standard for each base metal. The base metal shall be properly surface-finished for plating and free from impurities and surface defects that may have harmful effect on the plating process or corrosion resistance or appearance after plating. 4.2. Plating layer 4.2.1. Plating layer is composed of lead-tin alloy, and the comp
6、onents of plating layer in accordance with the manufacturing method shall conform to Table 3. Table 3. Plating weight other than these may be designated according to the coding system in item 6. 2. Minute deviation of platin
9、g thickness is allowed as long as it meets the corrosion resistance in item 4.4. 4.2.3. The plating layer shall be free from defects harmful to corrosion resistance or appearance. 4.3. Adhesion The plating layer of the outside surface shall not peel off when tested for adhesion according to item 7.2
10、. There shall be no cracks in the base metal. While roughening of the plating layer is allowed, visually observable folding and crack in the plating layer shall not be allowed. 4.4. Unpainted corrosion resistance 4.4.1. For plate samples of about 200 300mm in size which are cleared of oil with petro
11、leum benzene 40/70 it shall be regulated as follows. Salt Spray Test : EDS-T-7143-24 hours-grade 2 4.4.2. For the formed subpart, it shall regulated as specified in 4.4.1 4.5. Paintability The steel sheets, strips and pipes shall be suitable for phosphating and painting. 4.6. Formability These shall
12、 be preferably applied to parts whose plating layer does not peel off during press forming. 4.7. Weldability These shall be suitable for fusion welding and resistance welding, and special attention shall be paid during welding. 4.8. Surface condition Unless otherwise specified, it shall be coated wi
13、th oil on delivery. 4.9. Quality of welded pipes 4.9.1. NOTE Samples of materials or parts that follow this standard shall be approved by Technical Center before mass production & delivery. In the ev
15、ent of any modification form this standard, it is the sole responsibility of the supplier to inform the purchaser of all such modifications. Furthermore, the supplier shall submit the modified sample for reapproval by Technical Center before mass production & delivery. 6. CODING SYSTEM 6.1. - P / Pl

17、.1. All tests shall be performed at 23 5 . 7.2. Adhesion test Adhesion of plating layer shall be tested by observing and evaluating outside of random-taken test piece of 201 mm in width and about 160mm in length after bending it at an angle of 180with bending radius R=t(thickness of steel sheet). 18、e test piece shall be taken at least 50 mm or more inside of the end of steel sheet. 7.3.
