It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by GMW3136. 1. PURPOSE This standa
、rd specifies whether the safety glass has a certain min. cohesion or strength under impact from a flying shall hard object. 2. SCOPE This standard applies to the safety glass(laminated glass with a high molecular film) for the front glass of automobiles 3. EQUIPMENT 3.1. Device for dropping ball : T
、he device shall be capable of dropping a steel ball freely from the specified height. 3.2. Supporting frame : The supporting frame, made of steel, shall be as specified in fig 1. 5、ATE: 2008. 10. 23 VERSION: 4 GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology 3.3. Steel ball The steel ball, 2272g, in mass and approx. 38mm in diameter, shall have a smooth surface. 4. SPECIMENS The specimens shall be a laminated glass or toughened glass, measuring approx. 300300mm, manufactured by the same process as
、 that for the product. 5. PROCEDURE 5.1. Condition the test piece at the specified temperature for at least 4hours immediately proceeding Temperature condition : 402 and -202 in the case of the laminated glass A for windscreens, and at 232in the case of the laminated glass for windows other than win
、dscreens, and the tempered glass. 5.2. Place the specimen in the supporting frame supporting frame supported horizontally, so that the face which represent the outer face on the real vehicle faces upwards. 5.3. Drop the steel ball as a standstill, without any impetus, from a height to be tested on t
、o the center of the specimen. Droop point : in case of windscreens, the point of impact shall be within 50mm of center of the specimen. In the case of windows of other than windscreens, the point shall be within 25mm of the center of the specimen for a height not more than 6mm, within 50mm for a hei
、ght exceeding 6m. 5.4. The impact given onto one specimen shall be limited to only once. 6. CONDITION OF THE TEST For the laminated glass, in case of windscreen, ten specimens shall be tested at a temperature of 40and -20. In each set of the specimens, if eight specimens or more satisfy the requirem
、ents, the glass shall be acceptable. If seven specimens or less than further ten specimens shall newly be re-tested, and all the new specimens satisfy, the glass shall be acceptable. In the case of windows of other than windscreens, four specimens shall be tested. If all of four specimens satisfy th
、e requirements, the glass shall be acceptable. And if one specimens, than dont accept. Also two or three specimens than further four specimens shall newly be re-tested, and all the new specimens satisfy, the glass shall be acceptable. In the case of windows tempered glass of other than windscreens,
、six specimens shall be tested. If five specimens or more satisfy the requirements, the glass shall be acceptable. And three specimens or less satisfy than dont accept. Also if four specimens satisfy the requirements than further six specimens shall newly be re-tested, and all the new specimens satis
